Avoid repeated and prolongedbreathing of vapors and skin contact with the liquid. Do notuse near open flame, arcing equipment, or other ignitionsources. Always wear eye protection and protectiveclothing. The flash point of P-D-680 is 100°F to 138°F(38°C to 59°C).Death or serious injury could occur if compressed air isdirected against the skin. Do not use compressed air forcleaning or drying unless the pressure Is/has been reducedto 30 psi (2.06 bar) or less. When working with compressedair always use chip guards, eye protection, and otherpersonal equipment.1Clean crankshaft components with dry cleaning solvent and dry with compressed air. Clean oil passages with astiff wire brush.2Inspect all components for damage or excessive wear. Replace any components severely damaged or worn.ASSEMBLY:1Install new cover (12).2Apply lubricating oil to the threads of two hexagon socket head cap screws (14) and contact surface ofcounterweight (13). Install counterweight and two hexagon socket head cap screws. Torque hexagon socket headcap screws to 16 foot-pounds (22 N-m).WARNINGHandling heated parts can cause severe burns. Use properequipment to handle heated parts.3Heat the inner races of roller bearings (15 and 16) to 160°F to 175°F (70°C to 80°C) and press them ontocrankshaft (1).6-23
