Torquescrews to 27 + 2 ft-lbs (36.60 i2.71 Nom).w. Install gasket (39) and rear housing (35). Se-cure with screws (40). Torque to 66 i5 ft-lbs(88.13 i6.78 Nom).x.Install tapered roller bearing outer race (41)into the bore of bearing carrier (42) and seatagainst the shoulder.y.Install a 0.080 shim pack (43) and bearingcarrier (42). Secure with capscrews (44).Torque the capscrews to 27 +2 ft-lbs (36.60i2.71 Nom).z.Turn unit over with input shaft up. Applydownward pressure into input shaft while ro-tating input shaft several times in each direc-tion.aa. Check shaft end play as follows:(1) Thread special lifting bail T-20209 ontoshaft.4-30
