TM 10-4320-307-243-38OIL PAN AND OIL GAUGE BRACKET REPAIR/REPLACE (CONT).3.Use your fingers to install and tighten one of the 7/16-inch oil pan mounting capscrews on each side of oilpan, halfway between front and rear of oil pan.4.Tighten the four 5/16-inch capscrews in the rear of theoil pan to 20 ft-lbs (25 N•m) torque in sequence shown.5.Tighten 32 7/16-inch capscrews to 50 ft-lbs (70 N•m)torque in sequence shown.NOTEUse clean oil to lubricate the O-ring andthe seal.6.Install two new O-rings on oil pan lubricating oil suctiontube and new rectangular sealing ring in lubricating oiltransfer tube mounting flange.NOTEThe printed side of the mounting flangegasket on the oil transfer tube must betoward the flange.7.Loosely assemble lubricating oil transfer tube, flanges,O-rings, gasket, and mounting caps- crews, washers,and lockwashers to oil pan and lubricating oil pump.8.Tighten two capscrews and lockwashers (1) at pan to35 ft-lbs (45 N•m) torque.9.Tighten two capscrews and washers (2) at lubricatingoil pump (3) to 35 ft-lbs (45 N•m) torque.3-149
