Position a suitable lifting device and slingsover pump cover (1).b. Remove 46 cap nuts (2) and washers (3).c. Lift pump cover (1) from pump casing (4) andcarefully place into blocks on a stable workplatform.2. Remove shaft assembly as follows:Because the pump shaft weighs more than 260 lbs (118 kg), a hoist will be required to lift theshaft in order to avoid personal injury.3-24
