How-ever, if journals are evenly worn, not out-of-round, and crankpin diameters are within speci-fied limits, only main bearing bushes need bereplaced.c.Replace bearing bushes in accordance withparagraph 6-12. Make sure that main bearingbush radial clearance does not exceed 0.0024to 0.0118 inch (0.06 to 0.3 mm). If specifiedlimits are exceeded, the crankshaft must bereplaced.d.If measurements at points 1 and 2 differ bymore than 0.0028 inch (0.07 mm) and/or oneset is outside the specified limits, the journalis worn into a conical shape and crankshaftmust be replaced. If measurements along axisA and B differ by more than 0.0028 inch(0.07 mm) and/or one set is outside the speci-fied limits, the journals are worn into an ovalshape and crankshaft must be replaced. Forboth of these out-of-round conditions, alsocheck connecting rods, pistons, cylinders, andmain bearing bushes for unusual wear.
