Section I. TROUBLESHOOTING
6-1. TROUBLESHOOTING
a. Table 6-1 contains troubleshooting information for locating and correcting most of the operating troubles which are
the responsibility of general support maintenance. Each malfunction for an individual component, unit, or system is
followed by a list of tests or inspections which will help you to determine probable causes and corrective actions to take.
Perform the tests/inspections and corrective actions in the order listed.
NOTE
All TEST OR INSPECTION or CORRECTIVE ACTION steps assume that
engine side panels have been removed if necessary for access.
b. This manual cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and corrective actions. If a
malfunction is not listed or is not corrected by listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.
c. Only those functions within the scope of general support maintenance are listed. For troubleshooting procedures
within the scope of operator/crew maintenance, refer to table 3-1. For troubleshooting procedures within the scope of
organizational maintenance, refer to table 4-2. For troubleshooting procedures within the scope of direct support
maintenance, refer to table 5-1.
