Remove battery box cover and visually inspect battery terminals for corrosion, damage, and
looseness (Figure 8).

If battery terminals are corroded, notify maintenance.
b.
If battery terminals are not corroded, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Engine fault code
present.

NOTE
If no engine fault codes are present, NO FAULT CODES will be displayed on
diagnostic display.
Check for engine fault codes (WP 0109).

If engine fault code(s) are present, note SPN and FMI numbers and notify maintenance.

If engine fault code(s) are not present, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Engine does not
slave start.
