TRAILER HITCH REMOVAL - Continued
WARNING
Do not exceed the maximum allowable line pull limit for the auxiliary winch
(sandline). The five wrap pull is 8,500 lb (3,855 kg) and full drum line pull is 5,795
lb (2,628 kg). Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek

Never operate winch with less than five wraps of cable on winch drum. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the

Always wear gloves when handling winch cables. Failure to comply may result in

Check the inspection date of all lifting devices. Never use lifting device that has an

Attach sandline cable and hook (Figure 18, Item 6) to trailer hitch (Figure 18, Item 5).

Push sandline winch control lever (Figure 18, Item 1) forward to raise sandline cable and hook
(Figure 18, Item 6) to support trailer hitch (Figure 18, Item 5).
WARNING
Trailer hitch weighs approximately 169 lb (77 kg). Do not attempt to lift or move without the
aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

Remove four nuts (Figure 18, Item 3) from bolts (Figure 18, Item 4) and set aside.
10.
Remove four bolts (Figure 18, Item 4) from trailer hitch (Figure 18, Item 5) and WWDR frame
(Figure 18, Item 6).
WARNING
Use caution when removing trailer hitch from vehicle frame. Trailer hitch will swing
outward. Pinch and crush hazards exist. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

Remove trailer hitch (Figure 18, Item 5) from WWDR frame (Figure 18, Item 2).
12.
Pull sandline winch control lever (Figure 18, Item 1) back and lower trailer hitch (Figure 18, Item 5) to
ground outside of drill area.
