WWSV Auxiliary Fuel Tank Fueling Procedures
WARNING
Spilled fuel is slippery and could create a falling hazard. Clean up and properly
dispose of spilled fuel. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Fuel is highly flammable and can be accidently ignited. Do not allow fuel to come
in contact with hot surfaces, such as exhaust manifold, pipe, or muffler. Do not
smoke or allow open flame or sparks in the vicinity while working on any part of
fuel system. Make sure to keep fire extinguisher present while refueling. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
Improper grounding while refueling is a safety hazard. Fuel is highly flammable
and can be accidently ignited. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Make sure to use personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles) and follow local
guidelines for fuel spill protection. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
NOTE
There is a fuel filler cap on each side of the auxiliary fuel tank. Fuel can be added
to auxiliary tank using either filler. Left-Side shown.
If required, catwalks may be opened to gain access to fuel cap. Refer to
1.
Open fuel cap (Figure 9, Item 1) on auxiliary fuel tank (Figure 9, Item 2).
