WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially
dangerous to personnel and property. Avoid repeated and
prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F - 138
degrees F (38 degrees C - 59 degrees C).
a.
Clean all metal surfaces with dry cleaning solvent to remove dirt, oil and grease.
b.
Examine welds for cracks, breaks or other damage.
c.
Repair any cracked or broken welds by welding. Refer to TM 9-237. Material is 6061 aluminum.
d.
Inspect latch, strike and hinge on storage box for damage.
