6. Radiator
WARNING
Allow the engine to cool for approximately 30 minutes before draining coolant.
The engine is hot and presents a burn hazard. Coming in contact with hot
engine parts may cause burns.
a. Remove the radiator cap (figure 27, item 1).
b. Loosen and remove the drain plug hose clamp (figure 27, item 2) and drain plug (figure 27, item
3) on the radiator and drain the coolant into an approved container.
c.
Dispose as regulated waste in accordance with unit SOP and local regulations.
d. Drain coolant from radiator. Dispose of coolant using an approved container in accordance with
local environmental procedures.
e. Loosen and remove lower radiator hose clamp (figure 27, item 4). Remove lower radiator hose.
