CAUTION
During PMCS It may be necessary to run engine. Since
the pump is directly coupled to the engine, the pump will
run when the engine runs. Running the pump for longer
than a few seconds without liquid in the housing will
damage the pump. When necessary to run the pump for
longer than a few seconds, make sure that suction and
discharge hoses are installed and a source of flammable
liquid Is available. Prime pump, start engine to duplicate
normal operation and prevent pump from overheating.
