TM 10-4320-307-244-7TURBOCHARGER(HC3-16)REPAIR(CONT).ASSEMBLY:CAUTIONAll parts and work area must be free of grease, oil, and dirt to keep abrasives out of theturbocharger during assembly.1.Coat all bearings, thrust bearing, thrust rings, and piston ring with a light coat of lubricating oil.2.Install new snap ring (1) in turbine end of bearing housing (2).3.Install new bearing (3), new oil control sleeve (4), and outer snap ring (5).4.Install heat shield (6) and retaining ring (7).5.Install new piston ring (8) against shoulder of shaft and wheel assembly (9).6.Insert shaft and wheel assembly (9) through bearing housing (2).4-41
