REMOVAL:
NOTE
It is not necessary to remove the fuel pump and accessory drive if the pushrods are the only
component to be replaced.
1.
Remove pushrods as follows:
a.
Loosen locknut on each rocker lever adjusting screw.
b.
Loosen adjusting screw.
NOTE
To prevent increased wear, mark each pushrod as it is removed so it can be installed back in its
original location.
Some pushrods are under compression due to the valves being open. Rotate the crankshaft
clockwise with the accessory drive pulley to relieve the spring tension.
c.
Remove pushrods.
