Removala.Tag and disconnect wires from solenoid (1)b.Remove bolt (2) and lockwasher(3) from injection pump.c.Remove two bolts(4) and two lockwashers(5) from injection pump.d.Lift assembled solenoid(l) from between injection pump and engine.e.Remove two cotter pins(6), linkage plate(7) and fuel lever(8) from assembled solenoid(l).f.Remove two bolts(9), two locknuts(10) and bracket(11) from solenoid(l).g,Remove spacer(12) and jam nut(13) from plunger on solenoid(l).4.10.15.1.2. Installationa.Spacer(12) and jam nut(13) is installed on solenoid(l) and preset at the factory. No linkage adjustment arequired.N O T EWhen the solenoid and attaching parts are received from the manufacturer they arenormally assembled and the linkage preset.b.Install two bolts(9), locknuts(10) and bracket(11) on solenoid(l).c.Insert pins on linkage plate(7) through holes in spacer(12) and fuel lever(8) and secure with two cotter pins(6).d.Position assembled solenoid(l) into position between injection pump and engine.e.Loosely install two bolts(4) and two lockwashers(5) to attach assembled solenoid(l) to injection pump.Change 2 4-40.1
