SolenoidUsing a multimeter, test solenoid coil for shortshort cir-circuits. Short meter probes together and adjustcuit testfor zero indication. Measure electrical resistancebetween either terminal and the solenoid hous-ing. Meter shall indicate infinity all scales. Dis-card solenoid if short circuit is indicated.5-22
