b. Cleaning and Inspection.
( 1 ) C l e a n h o s e s , c o u p l i n g , a n d p a r t s
thoroughly.
( 2 ) I n s p e c t t h e h o s e s f o r a b r a i d e d a r e a s,
cracks, breaks, and other deterioration or defects.
(3) Inspect coupling gaskets for excessive
compression and wear.
(4) Inspect the couplings for cracks, breaks,
distortion, and other damage.
(5) Replace defective parts.
c. Installation. Refer to figure 4-21 and install
the hoses, nozzles, and bonding wires.

a. General. The two hose reels have a recoil
tension springs to wind the 40-foot discharge hoses
on the reels. The product enters each reel from the
filter / separator through a pipe at the hub of the
reel and is discharged through the hoses.
b. Removal.
(1) Remove the discharge hoses and nozzles
(para 4-33).
(2) Refer to figure 4-22 and remove the hose
reels and spring housings.
