Section X. ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM
The fuel system draws fuel by gravity flow from
the fuel tank. Fuel flows through the fuel valve
and fuel strainer and is delivered to the carbure-
tor. An oil-bath type air filter is provided. This
section contains the maintenance instructions for
the fuel system.
3-26. Fuel Tank, Bracket, Fuel Strainer, and
Shutoff Valve
a. Removal. Refer to figure 3-15 and remove
the fuel strainer,

shut-off valve, fuel tank, and
b. Cleaning and Inspection.
(1) Clean all parts with an approved clean-
ing solvent and dry thoroughly.
(2) Inspect all parts for cracks, breaks, and
other damage. Replace a defective part.
(3) Inspect all threaded parts for damaged
threads. Replace a defective part.
c. Installation. Refer to figure 3-15 and install
the fuel strainer, shutoff valve, fuel tank, and
bracket.
