Accomplish all preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) that are required by centrifugal pump unituse intervals given in Table 2-2. If centrifugal pump unit has not been operated for more than one month, accomplish allPMCS described in Table 2-2. Report any problems to organizational maintenance.c. Accomplish category B operator/crew PMCS contained in Table 2-2 or verify that category B PMCS wasaccomplished above. Report any problems to organizational maintenance.d. The operator must know how to perform every operation of which the unit is capable. The following paragraphscontain instructions on starting and stopping the unit, on operation of the centrifugal pump unit, and on coordinating thebasic motions to perform the specific tasks for which the equipment is designed. Since nearly every job presents adifferent problem, the operator may have to vary given procedures to fit the individual job.This pump is not intended to pump trash. Due to close internal tolerances, it is advisable to keepsuction intake off of bottom when pumping.2-4. INITIAL ADJUSTMENTSa. Loosen wing head studs on control panel door. Lift door.b.
