If no corrosion is evident at matingsurfaces of bush and quill shaft, inspect all exposedsurfaces for corrosion and/or physical damage thatwould prevent reuse of components. Be sure quill shaftis straight. Replace bent quill shaft.9.V-belt pulleya.Check hex bolt and hex nut threads for cross-threading, damage, and/or corrosion that wouldprevent reuse. Replace damaged hex bolt orhexnut.b.Check pulley sheaves for sharp edges and/orcorrosion or damage that could damage V-beltsduring operation.10.
