Loosen and drain coolant into a container,
until coolant is below level of thermostat
housing.

Radiator hose
Loosen hose clamp on
(upper)
water outlet flange.
Remove hose from
flange.

Water out-
Remove hex head cap screws and
let flange
lockwashers from flange. Remove
flange.
5.
Water out-
Remove.
let flange
gasket
NOTE
It may be necessary to scrape gasket
from mating surfaces. Make sure sur-
faces are clean and free of damage that
would prevent a good seal during
assembly.
6.
Thermostat
Remove and discard.
