AIR FILTER SERVICING - PAC - Continued
WARNING
Do not direct compressed air towards yourself or others. Wear goggles or safety glasses,
hearing protection, and protective clothing when working around compressed air systems
or equipment. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical
attention in the event of an injury.
CAUTION
Use dry, filtered air with a maximum of 30 psi (207 kPa) to clean air filters. Failure
to comply may result in damage to equipment.
Do not tap, strike, or wash air filter to remove dust. Damage to air filter can occur.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
Pressurized air can be used to clean air filters two times. Notify maintenance to
replace air filter after second cleaning. Failure to comply may result in damage to
equipment.
To help prevent damage to paper pleats, aim air nozzle so that air flows inside,
along length of air filter. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.

Blow debris out of primary air filter, starting from inside of air filter (Figure 1, Item 2) using suitable air
source.
4.
Notify maintenance if primary air filter element is damaged or cannot be cleaned.
5.
Install primary air filter (Figure 1, Item 2) in air filter housing (Figure 1, Item 4).
6.
Install wingnut (Figure 1, Item 1) to primary air filter (Figure 1, Item 2).
7.
Clean any debris from precleaner dump (Figure 1, Item 3).
