a. REMOVE. (Figure 4-13)

Remove bolts (1), flat washers (2), and front cover (3).
(2)
Remove shaft seal (4).
b. INSTALL.
(1)
Install shaft seal (4) on front cover (3). Apply silicone to front cover (3).
(2)
Position front cover (3) on crankcase.
(3)
Install flat washers (2) and bolts (1).
