CENTRIFUGAL PUMP ASSEMBLY
When draining, do not smoke or use open flame in
the area. Always make metal-to-metal contact be-
tween the container and the fuel hose. This will pre-
vent a spark as fuel flows over metallic surfaces.
Failure to observe this warning may result in death
to personnel.
NOTE
When pump is not in use, water/fuel should be
drained.
Inspect for dogged or damaged spark arrestor.
Drain Plug
Check that pipe cap (1) is securely installed.
Check Valve
Look through suction port and check for damage to suc-
tion check valve (2).
Suction Piping
Visually check interior of suction port for foreign mater
that could enter into pump during operation.
