TM 10-4320-307-244-11INJECTORREPAIR(CONT).7.Reverse position of injector in injector bodywrench so that injector cup retainer (12) faces up.CAUTIONDo not remove cup retainer with in-jector in horizontal position or withcup retainer facing down. The bar-rel and check ball will fall out.8.Using cup retainer wrench, loosen injector cup re-tainer (12).9.Remove injector from injector body wrench.10.Hold injector with cup retainer (12) up and screwretainer off injector adapter (3). Remove injectorcup (13).NOTECheck ball will fall out when barrel isremoved from adapter.11.Hold barrel (14) against injector adapter (3) andturn injector so that barrel faces down. Removebarrel (14) and check ball (15).NOTEThe injector barrel and plunger are aclose fit. Do not interchange theseparts.12.Remove and discard three O-ring seals (16).13.Remove screen retainer (17) and filterscreen (18).NOTEDo not remove the injector orifice plug from fuel inlet counterbore.Roll pins (19) need not be removed from injector adapter (3) unless damaged.14.Do not remove injector orifice plug and gasket located behind filter screen (18).4-81
