ENGINE PERFORMANCE POOR - WWDR - Continued
MALFUNCTION
Fuel level in fuel tank low.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
WARNING
Spilled fuel is slippery and could create a falling hazard. Clean up and
properly dispose of spilled fuel. Failure to comply may result in injury or
death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Fuel is highly flammable and can be accidently ignited. Do not allow fuel
to come in contact with hot surfaces, such as exhaust manifold, pipe, or
muffler. Do not smoke or allow open flame or sparks in the vicinity while
working on any part of fuel system. Make sure to keep fire extinguisher
present while refueling. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Improper grounding while refueling is a safety hazard. Fuel is highly
flammable and can be accidently ignited. Failure to comply may result in

Make sure to use personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles) and
follow local guidelines for fuel spill protection. Failure to comply may

Remove fuel cap from fuel tanks and verify both have adequate fuel for engine operation
(Volume 1, WP 0014).

If only one fuel tank is low, fill fuel tank with clean fuel if available (Volume 1, WP 0014). If
not available, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Fuel crossover valves not set to correct
position.
b.
If both fuel tanks are low, fill fuel tanks with clean fuel (Volume 1, WP 0014).Start engine
and verify if normal engine performance is restored (Volume 1, WP 0012).
c.
If both tanks were run empty, fill fuel tanks to appropriate level with clean fuel (Volume 1,
WP 0014). Verify if engine starts (Volume 1, WP 0012). If problem persists, proceed to
MALFUNCTION - Fuel system requires priming.
d.
If both fuel tanks have adequate fuel, proceed to MALFUNCTION - Check Engine Telltale
illuminated.
