Make sure the engine is secured and perfectly level. Check and/or fill the oil pan with Class CD Hi-De-
tergent Oil to the top of the filler port (refer to para 3-3).
Fill the fuel tank with diesel fuel most suitable for the engine (refer to para 3-11).
Prime the pump by pouring water into the discharge connection of the pump (refer to para 3-10). As
water/fuel fills the volute, air is forced out.
