Paint with Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) in accordance with MIL-T-704, Type G (for non-
ferrous metals) or Type F (for ferrous metals). Color to be Sand.
2-17. OPERATION IN SALT WATER AREAS
a.
Salt water causes corrosion. Use fresh water to wash off any salt that comes in contact with the equip-
ment.
b.
If surfaces become rusty or corroded, remove corrosion, then reprime the paint as necessary.
