WARNING
Hot coolant may be released when radiator cap is removed. Allow engine to cool before removing
cap. Open cap part way to ensure that pressure in coolant system is released, then remove cap.
CAUTION
Cylinder block damage could occur if coolant freezes. Check freezing protection of coolant when
engine is at operating temperature.

Using a hydrometer, check freezing. protection of coolant with engine at operating temperature. Add MI L-
A46153 ethylene glycol antifreeze in sufficient quantity to ensure coolant freeze point is 20°F (11°C) below lowest
expected temperature.
d.
Remove wing nuts and cover from battery box. Remove battery vent plugs. Using a hydrometer,
check the specific gravity of the electrolyte.
