GENERAL.

OPERATION IN EXTREME COLD.

Before starting engine, remove any accumulated ice or snow
from spark plugs and wiring.

Make sure Inlet Air Temperature shutter on engine is set for
w i n t e r o p e r a t i o n .

Run engine at low speed to warm to operating temperature be-
f o r e a p p l y i n g f u l l l o a d.
Lubricate engine in accordance with current lubrication order
LO 5-2805-257-12.

Fill pump with warm water to prevent freezing at starting.

Drain pump immediately after operation as shown in figure 2-4.
