10.
Add coolant so that coolant level is between the LOW and FULL marks on coolant overflow reservoir
(Figure 2, Item 4).
11.
Install coolant overflow reservoir cap (Figure 2, Item 3) on coolant overflow reservoir (Figure 2, Item 4).
12.
Clean area of any spilled coolant around the coolant overflow reservoir cap (Figure 2, Item 3) with
cleaning cloth.
13.
Start welder/generator (Volume 1, WP 0045) and run to operating temperature to circulate coolant
throughout cooling system.
WARNING
Do not remove filler cap from a HOT engine radiator. Sudden release of hot engine coolant
and steam can cause serious burns and a loss of coolant. Make sure engine is cool and
engine cooling system is fully depressurized before removing radiator filler cap. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an
injury.
14.
Shut off welder/generator (Volume 1, WP 0045) and allow engine to cool.
15.
Repeat steps 2 through 12 if coolant level is not between the LOW and FULL marks on the coolant overflow
reservoir (Figure 2, Item 4).
