To prevent rolling or sliding, do not work on equipment that is
not securely stabilized.
Ensure both wheels are secure.
Failure to obey this warning may result in serious personal
injury.
Normally,
new engines have a higher oil consumption.
During the
breaking-in period, approximately 200 operating hours, it is
essential to check oil level more frequently.
One check is
sufficient after the breaking-in period.
a.
Pull out dipstick (figure 3-1, 1), and wipe it clean with a rag.
b.
Replace dipstick (1) by pushing it in as far as it will go; then,
withdraw it again.
c.
Check oil film left on dipstick.
It should extend to upper mark (2).
d.
If level is below upper mark (2) or only reaches to lower level (3),
refer to LO 10-4320-343-12 and fill to top mark (1).
